Tiole fit

As interns we would make some of the tioles. sometimes we would have to make them within a few hours which really helped increase the speed of my sewing.

As you can see lines are drawn on the tioles to indicate where the garments need to be altered.
some of the tioles had to be re tioled over four times until they go the perfect fit.

Behind the scenes at the show LFW!!

The Autumn/Winter Ready to Wear woman's wear was shown at the Tate modern just off the turbine hall. This Image above was light projected on the wall. As you can see by the picture the show was sponsored by topshop. I had to arrive at the show first with four other interns to collect the delivery of all the outfits and shoes. We had a small disaster as I was told that only 2 boxes were being delivered, an when the van got there the driver had 5 boxes. There was actually meant to be 6 delivered and the sixth one stayed in the van an couldn't be tracked down until after the show. It was full of the foot wear for the models but luckily we were able to get some replacements in time.

This model is so hot! I wish I got allocated her to dress.

Getting her hair done.

Richard doing his final tweaks on the outfits, making sure they are perfect before they go on the catwalk.

This is one of the jackets that I cut out. It made me feel so proud seeing it go out on the run way knowing I had been helped in the production of this garnment.

Being naughty try to get a picture of the models getting changed. Caught red handed!

The models getting ready for the run through with there hair sleeked back.

The best catering ever!! The chocolate brownies were so good!

Me and Richard together after the show. Reflecting on how it went.

Day to day Interning

One of my fellow would make me jion him in wearing one of the scraps of fabric each day. Here is the blue Organza as a cravat.

                                                Nails Matching the orange Organza

Guyhyen wearing the mustard coat with the rolled up sleeves, it was a toile. Guyhyen used to teach me Korean each day. 당신은 괜찮아요? Guyhyen always said that when we finish uni he is going to employ me to work for his label in korea.

When I went to the factory that produces most of the samples. I noticed they were using the off cuts as seat covers of the denim from the bomber jackets.

This was a picture taken from a book of Richards designs for Quantas airlines.

This same drape idea was reused on a dress in the Autumn/Winter 2013/14

                                                                     Pinning and cutting!
                                                                From the neoprene jersey

This is one of the tops I made a toile for.

This was a achieve of old patterns and blocks, hung right across the studio for easy access.

Other interns acting cool in the sunglasses from the show!

Reversible woolen jacket.

Me looking fat in the stock cupboard whilst trying on a Bomber jacket.

We had to refold and package these leather dresses. These where made at the specialist leather which was across the road from the studio. I had just picked them all up early this day. Some needed the labels hand sewing.
